(*)  Triathlon Canada has decided to cancel the Age Group World Championship Qualification Program for all 2021 season events.

The Gatineau Triathlon is extremely proud to offer one qualifying spot per Age Group (5 years AG) in Sprint Triathlon and  four (4) qualifying spots per Age Group (5 years AG) in the Sprint Aquathlon to compete for Team Canada at the 2022 ITU World Championships in 2022.  All athletes wishing to participate in the Age Group Aquathlon at the World Championships must now submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) in order to be eligible for one of the available spots.  A preface to this EOI and a FAQ are available on Triathlon Canada's website (https://www.triathloncanada.com/publications-2/#worldchampionship). As a reminder, an email will be sent to all participants and the application will be open 3 weeks before each race and will close the day before the event and a $20 fee will be required to complete the EOI to encourage only serious athletes to claim a spot.  Here is the link from which athletes can submit their EOI:.............to be published 3 weeks before the event.............. Athletes wishing to do Sprint Triathlon or Aquathlon, but not interested in the World Championships, do not need to complete the EOI.
