Bob Rioux is the general manager of radio station 104.7 Outaouais - Cogeco Media.
He holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Ottawa and a master's degree in project management from the Université du Québec en Outaouais. Over the past 34 years, he has held a number of directors and producers positions in major television channels in Quebec.
Sport has always been part of his life and the life of his family. It is precisely in order to encourage the practice of sports that he has accepted to be the honorary president of the past two Editions and Ambassador for the Corporate Challenge in 2019. He practiced judo for several years and obtained his 1st Dan Black Belt. He is also a cycling enthusiast. After participating in a few races in his youth, he continues to train regularly for fun. He practices both road cycling, mountain biking and fat bike, but he also does alpine skiing and snowshoeing.
Bob Rioux was able to demonstrate his sense of leadership and his talent as a manager through the key positions he held and through his social commitments. Over the years, he has been involved in the Outaouais film festival, Gatineau Monde, the Grand Guignolée, the Centraide Outaouais and the Outaouais Chamber of Commerce.
His notoriety in our region makes him an ideal spokesperson for the Gatineau Triathlon. It is also with great enthusiasm that he is committed to promote the event within the community of athletes and sports enthusiasts of the Outaouais and to promote the Corporate Challenge for companies and organizations. According to him, enrolling in a triathlon gives a goal to be achieved and the obligation to prepare well. This is a reason to get in shape. His contagious passion will surely inspire many to enjoy the pleasure of training and feeling the accomplishment that follows!
