It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Ms. Hélène Martel as Honorary President of the 28th edition of the Gatineau Triathlon.
Hélène Martel is the owner of Première Générale, a company specializing in post-disaster repair work. Her company has more than 40 employees and annually handles more than 1500 cases of clients suffering from extensive property damage.
Hélène's professional career has taken her to many countries around the world, since before becoming a business leader, she was an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, where she accumulated more than 25 years of service.
Over the course of her career, she completed a Master of Business Administration degree and obtained her CPA professional accounting designation.
As an athlete, Hélène has made her mark in many sports, but more specifically as a volleyball player. For over 7 years, Hélène played volleyball at the international level, representing the Canadian Forces National Team.
A former high-performance athlete and mother of 3 children, Hélène knows the discipline, determination and investment required to perform in sport. She is familiar with early morning awakenings, muscle aches and the many hours invested in training and transportation.
Despite the fact that she has hung up her volleyball shoes in recent years, Hélène remains an avid athlete, practising cross-country skiing, mountain biking, kayaking and golf, among other activities.
